German Special: “More Why, Less Blah-Blah” with Expert Beatrice Gola

Von: SalesPro4U

Hello everyone! Today we are excited to share an enlightening conversation with Beatrice Gola. For over 15 years, Beatrice has been passionately shaping the digital world, always at the intersection of strategy, user-centricity, and new technologies. She has helped design products like the HeyOBI app, ShareNow, and digital solutions for HRS and Miles & More, establishing herself as a true bridge-builder between business, tech, and people. Today, she combines her experience as a consultant, systemic coach, and lecturer for Agile Product Management to help companies and teams move forward in a meaningful way. She especially enjoys working with partners in the public sector and healthcare, where she supports digitalization projects strategically and builds new bridges. And privately? You’ll find her on the yoga mat, hiking, or trying new food trends, since 2022 even as a certified yoga teacher, bringing balance not only to herself but also to her clients.

1. From Agency to Product Lead - Back to the Human Element

One of her best-known projects: the HeyOBI App. Bea was there from day one, from early user research to market launch. “We wanted to understand why people come to OBI - what really drives them,” she says. That understanding became the foundation for an app that doesn’t just sell products but creates value: “For example, it reminds you to bring in your plants when it’s cold outside - small, smart moments that create closeness.” Retention and loyalty are her passions. For Bea, one thing is clear: user loyalty happens when technology thinks with empathy.

2. Between UX and Yoga - Balance and Mindfulness

Alongside her career in digital product management, Beatrice is also a yoga teacher. For her, yoga isn’t just a hobby - it’s a way of life and the perfect balance to the fast-paced tech world. “I’m a very energetic person. Yoga helps me calm down and focus. And that calmness is something I can share with others - especially young people who feel nervous or face new challenges.”

Her simple advice: “Just breathe. Three deep breaths - in through the nose, out through the mouth. Drop your shoulders. It works immediately.”

3. Coaching and the “Why” - Where Product Management Meets Systemics

Since 2010, Beatrice has worked in agile product management, and since 2023 she’s also a certified systemic coach. She brings both worlds together to support teams and young talents. “Product management, at its core, is just asking ‘why?’ fifty times,” she laughs. Only those who truly understand the real why can create products that matter - for customers, users, and organizations alike.

As a lecturer, she shares this knowledge further: “I teach because there’s still not enough proper training in agile product management in Germany. Sharing knowledge is part of my responsibility.”

4. Digital Motivation Meets Purpose

Beatrice is increasingly drawn to projects with social impact, particularly in healthcare and the public sector. “There’s huge potential there. My goal is that visiting a doctor in 20 years will be easier than today - digital, human, and efficient.”

Her mindset is clear: technology should make life better, not just more convenient.

5. Advice for Young Professionals

When asked what advice she’d give to young professionals, Bea reflects: “I wish I’d had a coach or mentor back then - someone to help me see my own path. We’re all raw diamonds, but sometimes we need someone to help with the polishing.”

She encourages young people not to be intimidated by job postings: “If you meet only 60% of the requirements - apply anyway! Usually, it’s not your profile that’s the problem, but the job ad.”
And her most important tip: “Learn not to take things personally. Criticism often concerns your role, not you as a person.”

Her motto: “Quality is a Habit.”
Quality doesn’t happen by accident - it’s a mindset, a habit you live every day, in work and in life.
